FEBRUARY NOTES



REMINDER

A special meeting of St. Paul’s Congregation will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024, following the 10:00 AM worship service in Koepchen Fellowship Hall to answer any questions and vote on the proposed change to the Constitutional Amendment IX (Property Rights).


CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING FINANCIAL SECRETARY &TREASURERS REPORT

Gerri Gibney reported that she had a problem printing the reports.  She will email the reports to Council Members.


ELDERS

  • Set up schedule for March.

  • Discussed accepting Brandon Cho as a member.

  • Discussed the new schedule for Pastor Rockett.

  • Discussed plans for Good Friday service.

  • MISSIONS & EVANGELISM

  • Presentation of quilts was beautiful. 

  • Press release was sent to the Grapevine.

PROPERTY

  • Raked leaves.

  • Repaired toilet.

  • Repairs completed in office.

  • Repaired hot water heater.


OLD BUSINESS

  • Gerri Gibney gave update on website

  • New Carillon was discussed

  • Concert is scheduled for March 10th at 4:00pm

NEW BUSINESS

  • MSC Gerrie Oliver and Betty Bujas to accept Brandon Cho as a member.

  • Payment to Pastor Rockett was discussed. 

  • Elders will speak to him.

  • Discussion of use of nursery by Brittany Steindl. Questions need to be answered.

  • MSC Janice Pierro and Bill Henshaw to set up a meeting with her.

  • Request from Jack Beddoe to use Koepchen Fellowship Hall. A meeting will be scheduled to meet with him.


SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING | SYNOPSIS OF MEETING:

This Special Meeting was called at the request of the Council to hear about what Brittany

Steindl proposes in order to occupy our Nursery Room Suite.


Brittany Steindl has requested to use this area to have small groups of children take part in

special activities and socialization.


Discussion included:

  • Her degrees and type of work she does professionally.

  • Insurance coverage.

  • Would like to utilize space for approximately 3.5 hours on Saturday mornings.

  • Use of time may be adjusted in the future if more participation.

  • Each session would be limited to five participants with three staff members.

  • Parents would be present.

  • Outside nursery suite door only will be utilized.

  • Donation of $100 per month would be made to St. Paul’s.

A review will be made in six months and donation amount may be adjusted. She

understands in the future we may need to utilize this space.


After a question and answer period was completed, Janice Pierro made a motion,

seconded by Bill Henshaw, to approve the request.


ST. PAUL’S CALL COMMITTEE

The Call Committee is awaiting the second call list from the New Jersey District.
